Putting the Market back in the Market House

The Market House dates back to 1845 when it was established by The Stewarts of Ards as a market place for the sale of local goods. At 'Revive' we are delighted to be reviving that tradition of buying and selling in this traditional old building. For many years it was the very beating heart of local commerce and we hope that once again it can play its part in cementing Dunfanaghy's place as a thriving town for locals and visitors alike. You can read more about the Stewart family's contribution to the local area here .

Revive Alive

Glorious Donegal sunshine welcomed the arrival of Dunfanaghy's latest retail outlet  as we opened the doors  of 'Revive' on Saturday 13th July.

Living up to its name, 'Revive' has brought new life to the old Market House in Market Square which has lay vacant for many years. Our vision is to 'breath new life into old furniture' and is tapping into the current trend for restoring and upcycling old or unloved furniture.

We are combining our skills in craft, upholstery and design to re-find the beauty in old but quality furniture. As well as selling furniture items that have been upcycled in our workshop, we also undertake bespoke furniture revival commissions. In the early autumn we are also planning to host a number of beginner classes to share some of the skills involved, so watch this space.

We are very excited about the response and support received to date and hope that you will be able to call in for a browse and a coffee. One thing you can be sure of is that we will always have plenty of chairs !
